Our last day in Poole

Our last morning on Brownsea Island! All the kids mucked in to tidy their rooms - many of them hoovering, so there's no excuse now! After tidying the lodge, we walked down to the ferry to make our way to Poole Quay. The sun was shining and everyone devoured some flapjack as we enjoyed the ride.

After arriving in Poole Quay, we made our way to Scaplan's Court where we took park in a Tudor experience. Ned made us all jump when he appeared from beneath a pile of bags! He told us a tale about his life as a Tudor, and the kids had a go at some great activities.

Everyone got stuck in preparing for a Tudor feast.

We took part in some Tudor dances, (even if they did take some persuading to hold hands!).

We spent the afternoon in Poole Quay's RNLI station, which is the largest in the area. We were shown around two of their boats, and into their kit room. We asked lots of questions and learnt about how the RNLI operates!

Finally, we made our way to the station where the wonderful Mr Grafton and his team met us. We must say a massive thankyou to all the people who helped us make our way safely home on the trains - they were brilliant.

I hope all the children had a super time away! It was fantastic to see them looking out for each other and being so independent throughout the week. They should all be very proud of themselves, and have a well earned rest this weekend. See you all Monday morning!
