We love reading!

As you know, we here at Kings Copse Primary School believe reading is really important. We encourage reading in and out of school, and the children in Year 3 are already making good use of their new book corner and the library.

Last week the children designed their own book covers and we spoke about why we love reading and how it helps us. The children came up with some great ideas. Some spoke about how it sets their imagination free and they can travel to other places and even other worlds. Other children spoke about how they like to have quiet time, and reading makes them feel calm. Learning new things and getting ideas were other popular reasons for enjoying reading.

We know many of the children love reading at home too, which is fantastic. Remember to record each time they read with a grown up in their reading diaries. Every three entries earns a team point and there are special prizes from Mr Hayman at the end of each term!
