The Police Visit Year Three

This afternoon, we had a visit from a parent who works for the police. We learnt a lot about what he does to keep people safe and had lots of questions to ask! The highlight was definitely having the chance to try some of the uniform on and having a peek inside a police vehicle. A big thanks to our wonderful Y3 parent for spending the afternoon with us!

Brand new cricket skills learnt in Year 3!

Yesterday, we were lucky enough to have a visit from the Chance to Shine foundation who work all across the country giving children the opportunity to learn a new skill and play cricket.

We worked independently and in our teams to learn skills like throwing, catching, batting, running and team building. We cheered each other on all the time and worked together well by supporting our friends if they needed it. We had a brilliant morning! Have a look at some of our photos below!

Howzat!

Today Year 2 were lucky enough to learn some new cricket skills from the 'Chance to Shine' charity from Hampshire cricket.

Year 5: Mascot Found

Mascot Found: Callen completing rehabilitation!

After an afternoon of extensive testing, items found in Mrs Callen's possession matched those from the scene of the crime.

The children worked as scientists to record how different substances reacted in a range of solutions.  After examining evidence from a range of culprits, the crime scene sample was tested.  This reacted in the same way as the sample taken from Mrs Callen.

On further investigation 'Ugly Mascot' was discovered in the lunch bag of our Year 2 LSA.  A decision has been made for her to make a formal apology to 'Ugly Mascot' and complete a session of litter picking as an act of community service.

Case Closed!
