Phonics

This week in phonics the children learning phase 3 are focusing on ur, ow, oi and ear. They will also be revising all the phonemes learned so far j,v, w, x, y, z, zz, qu, sh, ch, th, ng, ai, ee, long oo, short oo, oa, ar, or and igh.

The children focusing on phase 2 will be learning l, ll and ss and revising all of the previous phonemes s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g, o, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, b, f and ff. 

Keep practising at home you are all doing brilliantly!

This week's phonics

This week in phonics the children working in the phase 3 group will be learning the 'ee' phoneme as in feet, the 'ai' phoneme as in train, the long 'oo' phoneme as in boot and the short 'oo' phoneme as in book. They will also be reviewing the previously learned phase three phonemes j, v, w, x, y, z, zz, qu, sh, ch, th and ng.

Miss Bailey's phase 2 phonics group will be concentrating on 'ck', 'e', 'u' and 'r' this week. they will also be revisiting all of the other phase 2 phonemes learned so far s, a, t, p, i, n, m, d, g, o, c and k.

Phonics

We are learning the last few of the phase 2 phonemes this week. We will be learning l, ll and ss. We will also be revising all the previous phonemes s,a,t,p,i,n,m,d,g,o, c, k, ck, e, u, r, h, b, f, ff.

Phonics

Last week we were learning the phonemes or letter sounds for s, a, t and p. This week we will be learning i, n, m and d. Mr Thorne's video will tell you how to make the basic sounds represented by each letter of the alphabet.
