A Special Visitor in Year Five

On Friday, we had a very special visitor. Win was an evacuee during World War Two, and came in to talk about her experiences with us. We all thought about questions we would like to ask to find out more about her life as an evacuee, as then she very kindly shared her experiences with us. It was fascinating, and we would like to say a huge thank-you to Win for speaking with us.

  1. It is always good to hear first hand about people's experiences. This must have been an interesting session which will help with your World War Two topic.

  2. I would loved to have heard about Win's experience of life as an evacuee. Year 5 can you tell us something really interesting Win shared with you? I remember interviewing an elderly gentleman about life when he was a school boy when I did my GCSE English Language course some 26 years ago. It was fascinating to hear of his experience of life as a young boy.
