3D Shapes

This week in maths we have been busy investigating 3D shapes and their properties. We used faces, vertices and edges to write descriptions of the shapes and found examples around the school.

We then tried to make the shapes out of different materials. We had to look really closely at the shapes of the faces and how many edges there were.

Can you name any of the 3D shapes we made?

We even managed to make a dodecahedron!

    I'm sad that I missed Maths in class this week it looks like you had lots of fun making shapes! I have been doing my maths at home but wish I could do it with you. Thomas
