Summer in-reach. Let's go camping!

Once again our in-reach session was a resounding success!
Our pupils with visual impairments and their friends from other schools, took part in a variety of activities on a camping theme. It was nice to see new faces among the group and some budding new friendships.
As usual we were joined by members of the VI advisory team, including: Carolyn Smith , Donna Irving and Sue Lee, as well as  Jenny Collins from the charity Opensight. We would like to thank them for their continued support which is invaluable.
"We dunked the marshmallows in the melted chocolate. When it cooled down, it solidified."

"We made fruit kebabs using strawberries, pineapple, apple and banana."

"The sand felt weird, nice and urry!"
 "The pot-pourri smelt like apples."

"The cornflour felt smooth and cold. It was sticky and made a noise."

"The shaving foam felt like warm ice-cream."

We constructed a pretend camp fire and sang songs around it.

" We ate hot dogs. They were hot, yummy, soft and delicious. They were slippery!"

We really enjoyed in-reach. It was:
"Fabulous!"
"Good!"
"Fun!"
"Amazing!"
