Year 5 & 6 Site Survey
Site Survey
This morning, Year 5 and 6 went for a short walk to investigate three local sites that could be perfect for our theme parks.
We recorded current use, infrastructure, observable features, geographical features, utilities access and much more.
By the time we finished, many of us had a clear idea as to which location we would apply to the council for.
The results may surprise you!
Why not have a debate at home and see if you agree?!

Design Charette - Project Theme Park
Project Theme Park
Year 5 & 6 have been incredibly busy this week with the launch of their Project Theme Park!
Not only have we had an exciting trip to Paultons but out architect, Rachel Brown, visited the school on Tuesday to hold a design charette.
charette
From a French word referring to a cart, charette refers
to a period of intense (often group) work usually in order to meet a
deadline.
She launched our design challenge and set us the goal of creating a Theme Park for all ages in the local area. Rachel will be coming back after half term to judge the entries. She will be looking for: a clear theme, ride accessibility, welfare facilities, commercial facilities and much more.
Watch out for your invite to our design exhibition.
