The children have made these super self portraits by collaging coloured paper onto card! They have also been busy mixing colours and making colour patterns. |

Colour Work
The children have been very busy thinking about colour over the past week. This has linked in with our literacy work about Elmer and also into our topic work.

Beautiful artwork again from year 1. Taylor was keen to point out her work to me tonight. Its so nice to be able to see what the children have been doing.
ReplyDeleteTaylors Mum.
Amazing use of colours! Well done Yr 1. When I asked Joshua why he did not give himself any hair, he answered he did not want too! Joshua really enjoyed this activity and learning about faces.

Fantastic pictures and patterns year one, excellent. Lydia told me about mixing colours and that white and a little bit of red make her favourite colour, pink. Happy mixing, Lydia's mum.
ReplyDeleteLucy and I are having a girlie day out to the Harry potter studio tour in London tomorrow. I will enjoy asking Lucy to look at the blog on the journey and hope this will spark some conversation on what she is learning in school. She was very excited about looking at a website which she said the details for were in her reading record book. (Lucy s's mum)
ReplyDeleteThese look fantastic, Year 1. They look very professional! I wonder what is your favourite colour and why? My favourite colour is blue because it reminds me of the sea - it makes me feel calm and relaxed (because it reminds me of sitting on the beach!).
ReplyDeleteWas really nice talking with Joana today, she told me they met a police officer and talked about the dangers. Joana also told me about the great fire of London in 1666 and about Samuel Pepys and his wine, cheese and diary hidden in his garden and how he had long curly hair :)
ReplyDeleteWow amazing colours year 1, it looks like Miss Clarke-Lens has some new stain glass windows ...
