Read for RNIB

We had a great day in year one today! The children did lots of reading, learnt about braille and did some different art activities based around the funnybones stories.

We used all the work we created to decroate our classroom door.

The children used art straws to create these fantastic skeletons!
Some of the children made book
illustrations using colouring pencils.

  4. I was fortunate to be in class on Friday. It was lovely to see the children so excited about being dressed up. Seeing Miss Clarke Lens read this story to the class brought back memories from my own school days. My year 6 teacher was a fan of Janet & Allan Ahlberg and I can remember being introduced to the Jolly Postman. This still remains a favourite in our home. I must invest in Funnybones now as I had forgotten all about it and Taylor really enjoyed the story. It obviously inspired the children to create some fantastic artwork. I especially like the scary skeletons. Well done year 1.
