Solar Eclipse

Today, we were treated to a very rare occurance in school. We witnessed a partial solar eclipse! Before the event, we discussed what would cause the eclipse, and how often they occur. We also discussed how important it was to keep our eyes safe by not looking at the sun.

We went outside during the eclipse, and could feel a definite drop in temperature! We also witnessed the very eerie moment when all the birds stopped tweeting and were silent.

Despite the clouds, it was great to experience the first solar eclipse since 1999!
