Earthwalks

We've been exploring the conservation area by using our senses today.

First, we used our sight to find different colours in nature. We created palettes using natural materials - some colours, such as green, were easy to find. Others were very tricky!

We then explored our sense of touch by playing Hug a Tree! One partner was blindfolded and guided towards a tree. They needed to feel it carefully before they were guided back towards the base.  They then needed to find the tree that they had been feeling. Some pairs made it very tricky by spinning the blindfolded person around!

Finally, we explored our sense of smell. We created smelly cocktails (some fragrant, others rather stinky!) by using herbs, plants, grass, flowers and twigs. After a good smell, we named our cocktails, made a toast and threw them over our shoulders!

  1. Hello Y6, the cocktails were a bit of a concoction - I think if they didn't smell very nice, I would have thrown them over my shoulder too! The pond dipping looked good fun. Enjoy your last evening. Looking forward to seeing you tomorrow. Emma C's mum :-)
