Mammal Hotels / Tracks and Signs

We've been doing our best Sherlock Holmes impressions in the conservation area this afternoon. We've been tasked with finding evidence to prove that mammals live in the Stubbington grounds.

First, we set up our mammal hotels. We needed to make sure that our hotels could be awarded five stars by ensuring that they were warm, comfortable and had plenty of water and food. We also needed to make sure the hotel worked correctly. After we had completed our interiors, we needed to find the ideal location to place our hotel.

Keep your eyes on our blog tomorrow to see if we manage to get any visitors staying overnight!

We then looked around the site to see if we could spot any signs of wildlife. We looked for droppings, fur, pieces of food, tracks and holes. After our search, we found evidence of rabbits, mice, foxes, owls and badgers.
