Songs and Rhymes

I promised recently to upload all the songs and rhymes we have used in our sessions so here they are. Also a quick reminder that next week (Friday 21st) is an INSET day so there will be no songs and rhymes then.

  1. You also asked us for our verses to go with Row, Row, Row the Boat. Here goes:
    Row, row, row your boat
    Gently across the lake
If you hear a hissing sound
It might just be a snake

    And to the same tune:
    Brush, brush, brush your teeth
    Morning, noon and night
See the dentist twice a year
    Then you'll be alright

  3. Love the snake version. We have two to do with pirates...

    Row, row, row your boat
    across the reservoir
    If you see a pirate
    Stop and say ooo-arrr!!

    Row, row, row your boat
    Out into the bay
If you see a pirate ship
    Sail the other way!!

We also have this one and hope Mrs Goto & Miss Bailey are not offended.

    Row, row, row your boat
    Gently down the stream
    Throw your teachers overboard
    And listen to them scream!

  4. Children never cease to amaze me. I was wondering how much izzy was benefiting from these sessions as she doesn't fully participate, she prefers to sit on my lap quietly. However, here we are at 9pm and she is singing Tommy Thumb at the top of her voice. She's meant to be going to sleep! Izzy (s) mum

  5. So good to hear anecdotal evidence about the impact these sessions are having. Well done Izzy (but go to bed earlier tonight to give Mummy and Daddy a break)!
