We are storytellers

Over the summer holidays, Year Six were asked to think about their lives so far and create a timeline. We then used these to become storytellers and tell our friends the story of our lives!

Before doing this, we shared well known stories in small groups. We played a game of chinese whispers with our stories too - it was incredibly interesting to see how the stories changed through being told!

After this, we shared the stories of our lives so far...

We quickly realised how difficult it was to remember every part of our stories when we were sharing them verbally. After discussing this, we decided that the best way to share the story of our lives was to write it down. We are currently in the middle of writing our own autobiographies so be sure to check back in a week to see how we got on!

  1. What an interesting activity, Year 6! I like a good story. Hopefully, we'll have the chance to share a lot of stories on the upcoming residential visit to Brownsea.
