Medieval day

Year 3 had an exciting day yesterday coming to school dressed in Medieval clothes and taking part in Medieval activities.  Sewing tapestry, making fruit tarts and dancing were just some of the tasks in the morning but the best part of the day by far was when Mr Tall taught the chidren how to do Jester style entertainment.  We used Mistress and Sir to address each other, Mr Hayman was His Lordship and a few children were addressed Majesty and Highness.  We also tried to use Medieval language.  'Wither is the privvy' for toilet trips and  'yea methinks so' and 'nay methinks not' for yes and no.
