2D shape work

We have been learning about 2D shapes. The children have been looking at and talking about pictures containing circles, triangles, squares and rectangles. We have been describing the shapes using mathematical language like corners and sides.

They have been exploring triangles and were set the challenge of using two triangles to make a star. Not many children found the star but many of them enjoyed drawing round the triangles, cutting them out and sticking them together in different ways.
