One of our dinosaurs is missing

This afternoon the children found a long brachiosaurus leg bone and what they identified as a brachiosaurus footprint in the mud. Some children went to make posters to let people know about the dinosaur on the loose. They decided they would need a trap. They said it would need to be big and have leaves in as one of the children had told them the brachiosaurus was the largest plant eating dinosaur. They set to work making one. Eventually they found a dead brachiosaurus. Someone explained a meteor had landed and killed off the dinosaurs. Some of the children went off to make a book to explain what had happened.

  1. A dinosaur!? At school!? For a moment I was worried this was a LIVE dinosaur that had somehow stumbled into the playground. Thankfully, I read Mrs Goto's blog more carefully and realised it was just a bone! How exciting!? I can't wait to read some of your stories to find out what YOU think happened to that poor Brachiosaurus...

  2. We did find a bone Mr Hayman. However when the children found a footprint they decided a real dinosaur was still living in our grounds, until the meteor hit that is!
