Handwriting development

The children have been practising drawing large anticlockwise loops and circles today. This kind of large scale writing shape helps to develop the children's muscle control and will make them better writers. Other good shapes to practice are horizontal and vertical lines.

  1. Just wanted to say that i think this blog is fantastic. I've learnt things that Lydie has done, and now been able to talk about them with her. We sat down this evening and looked at it together, Lydie thought it was funny that she could see at home what she could see at school on the white board. Please keep doing this as i think its geat and very worth while, thank you, Caroline (Lydia's Mum).
