The children have enjoyed reading Ten in the Bed this week as part of our learning in maths. We have been learning about subtraction and as animals fall out of bed in the story children have been using mathematical language to describe what happened. Their number sentences have been like this: Eight take away one makes seven. They have loved reading the story to each other and using the toys to act it out.
