One Snowy Day

Well done to those of you who made it in yesterday morning. We missed the rest of you but know how difficult it was to get around. We did lots of great learning inspired by snow. We built snow men, created snow hedgehogs using carrots (or snowmen's noses as we prefer to call them), swept snow, made marks and letters in the snow, took snowy photographs and made snow inspired glittery pictures. We had ice on the discovery table along with some of our small world creatures which come from colder climates. We enjoyed reading the 'Polar Bear and the Snow Cloud'. In the maths area had numbered plates to count cotton wool 'snow balls' onto and order. In maths we were putting buttons onto snowmen and exploring how many button holes they had.
