Mud Glorious Mud!

Several of the children became interested in mud today. They found some buckets that were filled with rain water. They added leaves and earth to make a muddy potion. They then went on to dig some big holes outside and fill them with water from their watering cans. They used sticks and spades to mix it to make sludgy mud. The children were encouraged to put suits on when they started to jump around in the holes. The children were mud monsters oozing around. Eventually almost all of the children had been in the mud. They came up with some great language we are going to turn into a poem.

  1. Cayla really enjoyed playing in the mud, she said it was really squelchy and gooey and she tried stepping out of it and her boot got stuck in the mud!
